The Mission of International ECC Programs

The mission of the American Heart Association ECC International Programs is to provide the best training materials and programs in emergency cardiovascular care to the international community of healthcare providers, caregivers and the international public in partnership with leading medical organizations and societies, such as the International Liaison Committee on resuscitation (ILCOR).

Also, as a major contributor to the process of developing international guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care, ECC International Programs is committed to increasing survivability from sudden cardiac arrest by working toward the adoption of these guidelines as the international standard of care.

By 2020 heart disease and stroke will become the leading cause of both death and disability worldwide.

In Poland, EMS Global is working to develop a national infrastructure for the AHA training programs. In collaboration with Polish medical societies and organizations our goal is to standardize resuscitation training and improve patient care.
